About the job
Position: Writing Expert
Type: Hourly contract
Compensation: $90–$150/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
Apply advanced writing expertise to train and evaluate AI-generated text across fiction and nonfiction domains.
Analyze AI-generated writing for narrative structure, voice, coherence, style, and genre alignment.
Provide structured, editorial-quality feedback to improve AI writing outputs.
Contribute domain knowledge across storytelling techniques, tone, and literary conventions.
Collaborate asynchronously with research teams to refine evaluation standards and datasets.
Requirements
Strong years of professional writing experience across fiction or nonfiction formats (e.g., novels, poetry, essays, journalism).
Published portfolio with recognized outlets or presses.
Deep understanding of narrative structure, voice, genre conventions, and editorial judgment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to critique writing quality precisely.
Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
Comfortable working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
