Working in film, publishing or media…you try to utilize with what you got. What I mean is that, if I am drawing storyboards on a film job or an illustration for another client, I think about composition and design. Here is an example of a layout I did for a client. A tryptch design using a close up/wide long shot/close up setting format. Having worked in film and comics, I am grateful for the knowledge of angle shots and how to change up the angles from panel/board to panel/board. Reading about it in books, talking to pros in film and comics, watching films, studying editing and camera shots and working on film/comic book jobs, has given me the experience in composing visual scenes to make sure that the shots flow seamlessly or there is a visual rhythm in the design/arrangement of visual compositions. Always learning and always growing. Have a happy new year and talk to you soon!
I like the layout, Rich Terdoslavich! It tells a story.

Thanks, Maurice! The client wanted all three images in one single panel, so we went with that visual. Will post that sometime time next year. Have a happy new year!
You're welcome, Rich Terdoslavich. Looking forward to seeing it! I can see the layout being a painting. Thanks. Have a happy new year!
