Hi Juliana Philippi what a great way to close out 2025. I took a moment at midnight to say goodbye to 2025 and the toxic people are in the rear view. Listening to my intuition would have saved me a lot of pain. On the flip side, I grew a lot and am proud of how I handled myself.

So 2026 is my year of joy. Abundance and joy are our natural states and I can't wait to see how that shows up for me this year. I hope to vibrate higher and to attract only those on the same frequency. That those who live unconsciously will just bounce right off. (Or I will see it sooner and ghost.)

Juliana Philippi, yes, exactly this. The awareness alone is such a gift. When we can see the moments we get in our own way with grace instead of judgment, everything shifts. Today really does feel like a clean page, and I love the way you put it: we get to write a new life, lovingly and consciously.

Last Day for 2025...cleaning out what is staying behind, and revving up the engines : ) I actually worked in real estate, managing properties for an investment company that owned properties in New York City, for a few years, and I also worked in sales, selling shoes in Los Angeles...all moments when I doubted myself, and lived life, learning what I needed to get back on my path, and be my true self.

Thank you for sharing that Juliana Philippi I have had sales jobs too, but I always look at is acting. Acting is sales in a way. And I can pretend to be whomever I want. If I got bored at my job, I would make up a backstory and be that person for a day.

Suzanne Bronson Oh I remember doing that, imagining I was trapped in a story, playing a role! Lol. It was amazing, I learned so much and saw, heard and experienced lots of different people and emotions along the way.

Congratulations! Happy New Year!

This is amazing! I cannot wait until I can get to play one of those types of characters one day! My Christmas was well spent with family and friends, and last minute I got accepted for a lead role in a short film—which for someone just getting into the acting industry like me—is such an exciting step! I’m curious to know, what was the first speaking role you ever did? And how did you like it? Happy New Years!! :)

My Christmas was really good :3. My dad cooked "töltött káposzta" (it's a Hungarian Christmas food, it's meat stuffed in cabbage. Btw, I don't like this food, I didn't eat from it), and my dad's girlfriend visited us. On the 24th, my dad cooked "halászlé" with catfish (it's a Hungarian Christmas food, it's a little bit of spicy fish soup. It's my favorite food! <3), and I traveled to the Hungarian capital city Budapest (btw, I go to school for there), because of my dad's girlfriend accidentally left her gift for her son with us. She drove me home because the trains were running late (she didn't stayed at us). We trimed the Christmas tree, and my mother came over (my parents are divorced, me and my little bro live with our dad), and we received our presents. I got a lavalier microphone set with two mics, and a biographical book by an autistic woman (I'm also an autistic). On the 25th, we visited grandma, my lil bro and I got 5000 HUF/person (=15 USD/person) from her. On the 26th, my dad's girlfriend visited us, and we also got presents from her :)

Brittany Christine a road trip sounds cool! My dream is to travel to the USA one day, and I really would like to go to California! (as a future writer-director, this is not a hard dream, there a lot of film festivals in America, and I want to work there too haha). Oh yeah, and if I will work in the U. S., you can starring in my film :) I'm interested in writing "crazy" characters :)

Maurice Vaughan Which movie did you watch? Until now, my lil bro and I watched Home Alone 1-2 every Christmas, but this Christmas we won't. He watched it with his class before 1-2 weeks, and I didn't care either. Oh yeah, and what sports did you play/watch during Christmas? I ask it because of my favorite sports are baseball and softball, and I know they're a very popular in USA lol

I watched Fatman and NFL, Imola Orbán. I love Home Alone 1-2. I'm writing a Home Alone type short script (Christmas Horror).

The feeling I get when I watch a movie with a background music so good.. I wanna have that feeling, so I listen to those kind of music whiles warming up.

Richard Antie I love that! Music is so, so powerful, it transports you to the place your heart wants to be, when you are playing a certain character, well being them...love this so much.

Maurice Vaughan , the first Brigitte Bardot film I saw was And God Created Woman. Perhaps I should watch Spirits of the Dead.

Wow Ray Watters thanks for this. I can't believe that number is soooo low. So then in order for actors to qualify for those affordable acting housing options, that is their maximum threshold? I know for those housing options performing artist tenants must have 80% of their income come from the performing arts. Unless that has changed? Makes me wonder.

Suzanne, I appreciate your kind words. In my experience when we insist on proper classifications and clear agreements everyone benefits and the work environment feels more secure and creative.

Khalid, thank you for taking the time to read this. Making sure that agents and managers know these distinctions empowers them to advocate for their clients and fosters better agreements.

Ray, I appreciate you bringing this up and sharing your article. It is eye opening that these income thresholds have not kept pace with reality. Advocating for updated legislation like HR 721 is one way we can support working actors and create fairer standards.

I used to assume that too, but like Shaheen Baig said, "It’s a collaboration, but like every other department – like a cinematographer, an editor, a costume designer – a huge amount of work and skill goes into creating a cast."

There's probably times when a director, showrunner, or producer makes all the casting choices, like on indie projects.
