Drama by WRITER (Crime, Family and Period Piece) WRITER Goddomaza, meaning Godmother in Japanese translation is an ongoing series inspired by true events. The series is a black-and-white period family crime drama series that touches on family jealousy and sexism within the yakuza society. I wanted to write this story because I’ve noticed that many Japanese Manga/comics don’t feature many older female protagonists in their stories, which motivated me to write this narrative and tap into an unrepresented demographic.
