In 1950s Boston, an Irish mobster volunteers for a prison reform program to lessen his sentence, only to be tricked into an MK-ULTRA experiment that mind-controls him to confess to the unsolved murder of his best friend.

SYNOPSIS:

In December 1959, Boston Irish mobster James Winter Kelly is arrested by the FBI and sentenced to 15 years. While imprisoned, his twin brother, Joseph, has taken full custody of his only son, Tim. Desperate to reclaim his son in his life, James volunteers for a prison reform program, hoping for an early release. But he is actually tricked into being used as a guinea pig for Dr. William Wormwood’s CIA MK-ULTRA test trial experiment into confessing to the unsolved murder of his former best friend, Red Harry, a murder he swore to God he did not commit.
