Our upcoming 4-Part Directing Class: Fundamentals of Directing - From Visualization to Post-Production starts this week with accomplished director Heath Cullens, whose credits include It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Mythic Quest, You're the Worst, A.P. Bio, and more. Heath has directed for FX, Hulu, Comedy Central, and major studios, and he's bringing his real-world experience directly to the Stage 32 community. Over four live Zoom sessions, you'll learn how to navigate every stage of the directing process: • Develop your visual style and directorial point of view • Break down scripts and prepare like a professional director • Build shot lists, work with cameras, and create production plans • Direct actors and manage your crew on set • Know when you've got the shot and how to keep production moving • Work effectively with editors and navigate post-production notes and feedback You'll also receive downloadable directing resources including shot lists, camera guides, mood boards, pre-production materials, and more. Plus, you'll have direct access to Heath throughout the class, a class lounge to connect with fellow filmmakers, and recordings of every session if you can't attend live. Whether you're preparing to direct your first short film, an indie feature, or television, this class will give you the practical tools, workflow, and confidence to lead a project from prep through post.
