Hi, I’m Oleksandr — a screenwriter from Ukraine. I’m self-taught, but I’ve been seriously dedicated to screenwriting for over 7 years. During this time, I’ve immersed myself in everything I could find related to the craft of writing for film: books, podcasts, interviews, videos, and countless screenplays. I write in multiple genres — thrillers, comedies, horror — because for me, genre is just a tool. What matters most is the theme.

Before I begin writing, I always define the core theme of the story. That’s my foundation. Then I build the film around it — in a way that sparks questions in the viewer long after the credits roll. I believe that if there’s no theme, there’s no film.

Over the years, three books in particular have become essential creative touchstones for me:

These books constantly inspire my approach to structure, character development, and emotional impact.
