"Every day is the same, every night a restless dream — the life of a police call center employee spirals between sleep and duty."
SYNOPSIS:
Dream life" is a short film that explores the dehumanizing effects of urbanization, where people in large cities slowly lose their humanity and become mechanical, robotic versions of themselves. Each day mirrors the last, and chronic sleep deprivation blurs the line between dreams and reality.
The story follows a 40-year-old police call center employee. Her commute to work feels like an extension of her dreams, a surreal journey where the city around her transforms into a strange, distorted world. The day at the office is monotonous, filled with endless calls and repetitive tasks, while her return home grounds her in reality—until the next day repeats the cycle.
Through the lens of her daily life, the film reflects on the alienation of modern urban existence, the thin boundary between sleep and wakefulness, and the quiet despair of living as a cog in a relentless machine. Only weekends offer a fleeting glimpse of freedom, yet even then, the rhythm of routine lingers.

I understand that this logline doesn’t follow all the traditional rules of a standard logline. But first, this is a short film. And second, the genre is fantasy. So things here are not meant to be completely conventional.
