To gain power and wealth in a ruthless corporation, candidates undergo a deadly trial: reduced to a microscopic size, they face giant insects and their own morality — and only one will come out alive, having lost their humanity.
SYNOPSIS:
The investment fund “Swoll & Low Capital” is looking for an employee for the position of enterprise acquisition manager. This is a prestigious and highly paid position that gives unlimited opportunities and power. The fund hires only one employee. A group of very different candidates comes to the interview, each with their own motivation and desire to solve personal problems with the help of the fund.
From the very beginning, the participants are locked in a large hall where there is only one chair. There is a water cooler, but no cups. The air conditioner works at full capacity, creating unbearable conditions. The candidates begin to quarrel and set each other up, checking who will prove worthy of the position.
When the tension reaches its peak, a manager of the fund appears and offers them to cross a lawn. Whoever reaches the end first will get the position. Everyone agrees, but no one warns them that before the start they will be reduced to tiny size. On the lawn, ordinary insects turn into giant predators.
During the crossing of the lawn, the candidates one by one become victims of the insects. They try to unite, to look for clever ways of survival, but this does not always save them. The main heroine, Sarah, comes to the interview in the hope of earning money for an expensive operation for her husband. Sarah is a kind, loving person who initially is not suitable for such work, but this was her only hope to save her beloved husband, who gave her pendants dear to her heart.
During the trial, Sarah constantly helps others and finds a way out even from the most deadly situations, but in one of the fights with an ant she loses her pendant. In the finale, only she and Jordan survive, the grandson of one of the founders of the fund, who knew about the upcoming trials. The philosophy of the company forbids taking relatives for work; everyone must pass the trials on equal terms.
When Jordan realizes that Sarah prevents him from winning, he tries to kill her. But Sarah has already changed: from a kind and caring woman she has turned into a cold-blooded and harsh person deprived of empathy. In the end, she kills Jordan and becomes the winner.
Sarah gets hired, but does not have time to earn money for the operation — her husband has died. Despite this, humanity remains in her soul. She decides to destroy the company, although she has no evidence of the fund’s criminal activity. In the second season, Sarah again participates in the competitions to obtain proof against the company and to find the lost pendant so dear to her heart.
