Disney does $1b deal with openai & sora

Will audiences flock to new Disney AI movies? Will Disney be able to claw back the rights later on? Disney is one of the most litigious companies out there - what will they do when people clearly use AI to clone their AI?

I think Disney did sue some AI companies, Holly Fouche.

Maurice Vaughan that only strengthens my point lol

Who are the AI Producers here?

Hi All.

I just finished my first full feature movie trailer using AI. If this feature comedy were to be green lit, I would want to film it with real actors, so it acts as a concept for the general gist and pace of the movie.

It's a growing field with AI video model systems being valued in the hundre...

Impressive work on your Trailer! Can't remember seeing any type of software mentioned!

Very good! Very enjoyable! You should teach an online class about how you did it, prompts used to keep consistency, etc.

Randall Scott White

Eon, I mostly use MovieFlo.ai - it has all the models in one place and is great for an all-in-one story creation system

Got that Randall Scott White! It establishes my present methods also, using mainly one software. The rest is basically commands.

I use other software and in-house techniques, with editing to achieve a...

Query Letter reponses - Suggestions

Hi - I have surmised that December is an ideal time for Query Letters as I have read and heard many mentions of the idea that the industry sort of 'closes down' early to mid-December for the holidays, and frequently that time is used to review projects etc..... So I thought this might be a 2-week or...

Hi, Darrell Pennington. Some producers accept cold query letters and some will read a cold query letter if the subject line/something in the letter interests them....

In my experience, all companies accept blind queries, even if their policy states otherwise. If they are interested they write back and officially solicit your screenplay so it's no longer "unsolicited".

Darrell Pennington

@michaeldavid well that is very encouraging. My goal is to get 300 out by the end of the year!

Shadow Dragu-Mihai, Esq., Ipg

Darrell Pennington That IS the standard industry response. You get around it by going through an agent, manager or lawyer who will send a query letter or call with your log line You can query them, as...

It must be coincidence the administration held the lawsuit over Paramount's head. A miracle! The merger through when Paramount paid out the 16 mil and made concessions in a "pay-for-play."

This is the widely held understanding. Not a buncha blah-blah-blah.

Curiosity about screen adaptations of past bestsellers

I don't have a project in mind; I'm just curious. Recently, I discovered that there's still a fandom of a fantasy book trilogy that was quite popular in Italy 10-15 years ago.

I was surprised because it feels like a geological era for media.

I wondered: if someone pitches a TV series for a screen ad...
