The Stage 32 Videos: Space

This is not science—it’s a personal mythology. A way of linking physics and the heart, where loss and love bend time as surely as mass bends space. It’s one of the ideas shaping my films. I – Emotional Gravity What if gravity were not only physical? What if every grief, every bond, wove an invisible gravitational field? This is emotional gravity— The force that keeps us tethered to those we love, even beyond death. It’s the reason a memory weighs. An absence pulls. A law of the heart, as real and relentless as Newton’s. II – The Equations of the Heart I’ve sketched, written, calculated— Not to prove, but to feel. In my notebooks: • A watch pressed against a mirror. • Inverted spirals. • Two silhouettes with reversed watches—one in darkness, the other in light. These are symbolic equations, binding physics to poetry. Not to predict, but to awaken. III – A New Cosmic Mythology This is not science—it is mythology for our time. As science grows more technical, we must reconnect its laws to our inner worlds. Ancient civilizations looked to the sky to understand their hearts. Perhaps it’s time we do the same. IV – Emotional Gravity and Inner Time Dilation In this mythology, collapse is not just physical—it’s emotional. Each fall carries a profound charge. What if inner time—the time of grief, memory, transformation—could dilate or freeze under this emotional gravity? Here comes the symbolic variable: dt/dt In general relativity, this expresses gravitational time dilation. In this cosmology, it measures emotional distortion: • dt: proper, inner-lived time • dt: external, universal time • dt/dt: the degree of temporal distortion caused by emotion As emotional gravity grows—through loss, compression, love—inner time slows. Sometimes it stops. dr/dt → 0 as r → rs That is: when a being reaches their emotional singularity, inner time suspends. The moment of grief. Of transformation. Of a personal black hole. And after collapse? Perhaps—a white hole. A rebirth.
