Her athletic 12-year-old keeps the pace fast and competitive, while her sharp-tongued, quick-witted stepson with muscular dystrophy delivers humor and insight far beyond his years. Together with her outdoorsman husband—who turns every day into an adventure—the family creates a world that is equal parts unpredictable and inspiring. Set on acres of wooded land filled with dogs, chickens, ducks, dirt trails, and constant motion, the show blends high-energy outdoor adventures (fishing, hiking, tubing, four-wheeling, camping, spontaneous travel) with raw, real-life moments—parenting challenges, medical realities, relationship dynamics, and the emotional weight Vanessa carries behind the scenes.
