Bobby Baham is an award-winning screenwriter and independent filmmaker — arguably the most underrated creative force in Houston, TX.
A self-proclaimed Air Force brat, Bobby spent his youth bouncing from base to base, but his roots run deep in Louisiana. From a young age, he was obsessed with movies — acting out scenes with his sister and friends, dreaming of epic stories and larger-than-life characters.
Despite his creative instincts, Bobby was steered toward a more “practical” path, earning a degree in Criminal Justice with dreams of becoming a federal agent. (Blame it on watching one too many 1980s action flicks.)
But everything changed two years in — he became a father, and he took his first screenwriting course. That was the spark.
Since 2009, Bobby has followed the bumpy, beautiful road of indie filmmaking — marked by love, pain, loss, and relentless hustle. His work has earned several international festival laurels, and he continues to write and direct stories that blend heart, humor, and genre chaos.
