About Brent

Brent is an award winning actor/screenwriter, novelist, director and producer. Mr. Fidler has written three novels, Shadows of Nagasaki - Lulu 2020– a sci-fi/horror story about reanimated atomic shadow ghosts who enact revenge on the descendants of the Manhattan Project https://www.amazon.ca/Shadows-Nagasaki-Brent-Fidler/dp/0359890679

A dual citizen, Mr. Fidler currently commutes between Los Angeles and Vancouver.
He has appeared in over forty American television series and movies, earning a Best Actor Leo Award for his chilling performance in FF Coppola's First Wave. His performance as Edgar Allan Poe in his first produced feature Poe - Last days of the Raven garnered a Best Feature Award at the Cinema City International Film Festival at Universal Studios in Los Angeles and Brent was nominated for a Best Director Gemini Award.
Personal career highlights include working with Al Pacino and Janis Chastain in the intimate Culver studios playing Pacino’s Pharisee in Salomaybe and a callback at Warner Bros for Macbeth with Joel Cohen, reading opposite Frances McDormid (Ellen Chenoweth – casting)

Brent has written two professionally produced stage plays, Poe – The “highly” unusual life of Edgar A and Raising the Conch - The Way of the Kundalini Goddess His screenplays have been optioned by the late Janis Chaskin at New Line Cinema and studio producer Doug Claybourne . He is also the President of Theater Crossing Film Corp. dedicated to producing feature films that have a high literary element and a strong moral and ethical component.

As a teacher, Brent has lectured on producing independent feature films at Boston College and Conlin College in Texas. His ACTRA/UBCP workshops include Meditation for Actors, Acting for Hallmark and Stillness for the Camera, which Brent also taught at Film Training Manitoba.
