LOGLINE: A lonely girl Star in the heavens finds friendship with a isolated Earth teen and together with a superhero team of living planets, meteors and comets battle a Black Hole out to conquer the universe. TAGLINE: Friendship and danger at Infinity’s end.

SYNOPSIS:

Nova and the Cosmodians is an animated sci-fi feature with musical numbers born out of the characters deep inner feelings. Set in the vast cosmos of infinite space, it is the story of Nova, a teenage star born billions of years ago. Abandoned at birth, she lives her life alone and isolated in the farthest reaches of space. She yearns for a normal life with friends and family. One day, a group of meteorites pass by and a young meteor named Moo is caught in Nova’s gravitational pull. Her first friend will die a fiery death as his orbit begins to decay. Nova sends out messages into space looking for help and one message reaches a lonely teenage astronomy savant named Celeste on Earth. Celeste and Nova trade radio telescope messages that travel by the speed of wishes and Moo is freed thanks to Celeste’s science and the two quickly bond with each other.

Nova’s mother Nirmala Primus, the wife of Aum, the creator that gave birth to the universe during the Big Bang, appears and reveals to Nova her tragic destiny as the Avatar that will save the universe from total annihilation by Crazar, Nova’s evil brother, the fallen one, a monstrous Black Hole, who was also cast into the cold loneliness of deep space at birth by his father. Crazar has returned to bring about the Apocalypse and nothing can stop him from consuming universe after universe - except Nova, who must sacrifice her life in order to save the galaxy.

The Cosmodians of the Cosmos are a group of six super powered stellar bodies - a meteor, a dwarf galaxy, a comet, two stars and a planet who patrol the universe fighting criminals and keeping the cosmic balance in order. When they first encounter Crazar two of their members are killed and the remaining Cosmodians barely escape. Nova encounters them on her journey to find Crazar, who is heading to destroy the Earth and everything in the Milky Way Galaxy he crosses paths with.

The Cosmodians take Nova to a crucial meeting called by the Cosmic Federation of Galaxies, where politicians from all over the Universe make plans for the final battle against Quasar, who has been spewing black Demons out of his Event Horizon and they are attacking Earth. All the Black Holes inexistence come under Crazar’s telepathic command and they are also wreaking havoc and death throughout the universe.

The Earthlings are helpless against Crazar and watch his approach and destructive onslaught broadcast by a brave satellite called X. Celeste pleads with a frightened Nova to save the Earth. In the final battle for the universe’s existence, every warrior from all over the universe and the rest of the Cosmodians are killed in an epic struggle of good versus evil. Nova must face her fears and Celeste gives her the strength to do what she must.

Crazar is destroyed in a climactic explosion as Celeste allows herself to be consumed by her brother and supernovas within his core. It appears that the destruction has been almost total. But Aum has a different ending in mind for his cosmic story of creation..

Nova & the Cosmodians is a heart-rending tale of friendship, sacrifice and love. And how all beings everywhere are connected through that power. .. Mix in a dash of factual astronomical learning to educate the YA audience in an entertaining fashion..
