I’m Khari X (Khari R. Telesford)—a NYC screenwriter, storyteller, and playwright, with a relentless passion for creating and sharing bold, visceral narratives that leave a mark
My journey began with a childhood fascination for the spectacle of "Little Shop of Horrors," which led to my early performances in grade school musicals. As a dedicated student of the Meisner technique, I honed my craft at the Ted Bardy Acting Studio (2021-2024) under the guidance of Glenn Vincent and Ted Bardy, and I furthered my training with Master Acting Coach Bob McAndrew.
My acting resume includes roles in "Truth Brings Affliction" (2025), "Third Party - Blameless" (2024), "L'aura" (2023), and "Destiny in the Ground" (2023), where I played a range of characters from a police detective to The Devil.
My writing style? --- Unfiltered. Sharp. Emotional. Visceral. I believe in stories that Hit HARD, Cut Deep, and Refuse To Be Ignored. My work thrives in the worlds of psychological dramas, crime, neo-noir, dark comedy, thrillers, fantasy adventure, and procedurals—where high stakes meet raw human emotion.
As a multi-faceted creative, I am committed to delivering bold and unforgettable stories, both on screen, on stage, and in books. I draw inspiration from the raw power of Black and Brown poets, writers, and artists—using rhythm, story, and soul to honor legacy and push language forward. I aim to expand my creative reach by writing and producing feature-length films and music videos. I am open to collaborations with visionary filmmakers, producers, directors, and screenwriters—as well as casting opportunities and representation.

P.S.: My hope is that as you read these stories, you resonate with the characters and see a bit of yourself in them.

Mike A woman stands by the side of the road as her husband argues with the man whose car just hit their rear bumper.
At first, all she talks about is how this is not her husband’s fault. As she waits, however, she discloses more about their marriage – including some irregularities around his behaviour that tell a very different story.
Ranging in her narrative from the intricacies of the insurance industry, to fidelity, to intimate partner violence, the woman weaves a tale that shows ultimately, she must decide if her husband is worth protecting – or for that matter tolerating for even just one minute more.
