About Rhonda

I've always been captivated by the power of storytelling. There's a unique thrill in watching how a carefully chosen set of words can transform a room and draw people in. It's gratifying to see the reactions stories can elicit, whether it's laughter, tears, or a quiet moment of reflection. That ability to connect and move people through narrative has always been a source of deep enjoyment for me, whether it's in the form of music, lyrics, spoken, or written word. The ability to move people through a powerful journey is exhilarating and addictive.

I began my writing career with Knight-Ridder Publishers, The Charlotte Observer. I went on to write for several local newspapers and a regional magazine, where I had the pleasure of interviewing great entertainers like Glen Campbell, Andy Williams, and Craig T. Nelson before becoming the editor.

I also enjoyed freelance writing for Turner Classic Movies, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, CosmoGirl Magazine, and providing content for two of the first internet sites: eWorld and LiveWorld.

I co-wrote a screenplay, "Lavinia," which placed second among over 700 entries in the screenwriting competition at the 2012 Charleston International Film Festival.

"Terror at Gitche Gumee," a screenplay that lingered in my imagination for nearly three decades, has at last been completed, a collaborative effort with my husband, Bobby Aycock. A recent road trip to Duluth, MN, spectacularly awakened its dormant potential. Bobby's experience as an accomplished audio producer, engineer, and ADR recordist for movies and television, as evidenced by his IMDb page, proved an endless wellspring of inspiration as we crafted this thriller together.
