THE BLACK FRONT
By Rhonda & Bobby Aycock

GENRE: Thriller / Suspense
LOGLINE:

A terrorist leader, obsessed with punishing a war-hero-turned-politician, spearheads a massive siege on an American city, forcing a pastor to use the supernatural power his cynical son mocks to win a chaotic, life-or-death battle for his family and prevent an international holy war.

SYNOPSIS:

Amon Al-Saif, the scarred and vengeful leader of the terrorist cell The Black Front, is obsessed with punishing the American Special Ops sniper who killed his brother, a decorated hero turned opportunistic politician nicknamed "The Mongoose." Amon executes a catastrophic attack on the Lake Superior Canal, killing dozens and sending a clear message: He will make the people blame The Mongoose for every drop of blood.

Meanwhile, Pastor Elijah Hanson is grappling with a profound crisis of faith, which is compounded by a bitter, estranged relationship with his cynical 17-year-old son, Noah. Noah openly scorns his father's ministry and mocks his belief in a “spiritual gift.”

As the city falls under siege, Amon is on a killing spree, methodically executing victims and proudly streaming the massacres live. Elijah and his family are thrown into a continuous gauntlet of harrowing, life-threatening events, forced to navigate not only Amon's terrorists but local gangs seizing the opportunity for unchecked chaos. After numerous close calls, the family is ultimately captured by Amon's forces and held hostage, along with hundreds of others, in Elijah’s own church.

Cornered and terrified, Elijah's desperation forces him to make a choice: be the fraud his son believes him to be, or risk the spiritual power he has long questioned. When Elijah cries out to God, the seemingly "made-up" language surges forth from him, suddenly and terrifyingly understood by all. The divine voice names Amon, exposes his secrets, and ultimately plunges the entire enemy army into a cataclysmic mass delusion where they turn on each other and self-destruct.

Standing in the ruins, Elijah and Noah find a profound, lasting reconciliation, having faced the absolute darkness and discovered the singular power of belief together.
