Hey Maurice! Great to meet you — and thanks for keeping the Lounge buzzing.

I’m a stand-up comic and screenwriter. Just finished a manager outreach campaign for my comedy feature James Christ — a biblical coming-of-age satire about the forgotten little brother of Jesus (it just won at London Director Talents and placed in a few others).

This summer I’m keeping the momentum going: staying active here, submitting to a few more fests, and praying someone says “yes” before my mom asks if I’ve found a job again.

Good morning, Lorenzo Fleming. I'm doing great. Thanks. Staying busy with projects and things. What do you have planned for the summer?

It's a pretty cool picture, Wyman Brent. I've ghostwritten a lot of scripts. I'm almost done with the first draft of one right now.

Maurice Vaughan, now someone needs to do a script of my life. My life has been so wild, weird and horrifying and with so many real life plot twists that most people would think it is fiction.

Congratulations on getting close to finishing your script! What genre(s) is the script?

Maurice Vaughan, I suppose I could try writing my life story. I mean I have been the one living it. Just that I find it easier to write about things that did not happen to me. A lot of the memories are more than a little painful, hard to keep a distance from my own story.

Hi, Amanda Laden. It's nice to meet you too. I just read your introduction post. Hope you sell/make your unscripted series! I can't wait to watch it! I plan on working on scripts (a few features and a short script or two), spending time with family, watching movies, resting, etc.

I'd like to finish rewrites for the first three entries of Finding Elpis so I can finally get to writing BoFS and whatever the fifth one will be titled (its current joke title is "The Great Collide-O-Scope"). Maybe get a couple table reads in if funds allow, and of course pitching again when I'm ready :) besides that, I'm gonna have friends over for a barbecue and other gatherings :D

My plans for the summer are to finish my screenplay about someone who receives an Alzheimer’s diagnosis and whilst doing that, to work on a new sci-fi limited series. The idea came to me via a dream - I know I get lots of those and yes, I know it sounds like cheating! I can’t really remember a lot about the dream, save for two main characters who were kind of intoxicating when they were around and I thought I just had to write something. And so I’m developing a trilogy where the different episodes interact with each other. I’m loving it!

Haha Geoff Hall. I'm looking forward to watching your movie and limited series! That reminds me. I need to get back to work on a limited series I started a while ago.
