One of my favorite ways to grow as a film composer is by rescoring scenes from great films. This is my latest score-to-picture exercise based on a scene from The Revenant. The original music has been completely removed, allowing me to build a new musical narrative from the ground up. Rather than trying to imitate the original score, my goal was to explore a different emotional perspective while remaining faithful to the pacing, tension, and storytelling on screen. Every cue was written to support the performances and the cinematic language of the scene. Exercises like these are invaluable—they challenge timing, orchestration, dramatic instincts, and the ability to let the music serve the picture rather than compete with it. I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts. Feedback from fellow filmmakers and composers is always appreciated. Original film footage belongs to the respective copyright holders and is used solely for portfolio and educational purposes.

Scoring to picture is one of my favourite parts of composing, and projects like this are a great way to experiment with storytelling through music.

Live performance of “Los Taninos”, a piece from the show “Guardiana del Vino Eterno”, presented as part of the Fiesta Nacional de la Vendimia 2025 at the Teatro Griego Frank Romero Day (Mendoza, Argentina). The script of Guardiana del Vino Eterno is rooted in magical realism, where the characters include the winery, the wine itself, the tannins, and the oak, among others. The scene “Los Taninos” portrays the moment when these magical beings—tannins—infuse the wine during its formation, shaping its character and essence. They are slightly dark yet playful figures, reminiscent of jesters, bringing both mystery and humor to the transformation process.

This reel showcases my work as a composer and music producer for film, featuring a selection of original scores across a range of genres including drama, horror, suspense, romantic comedy, and dark comedy. My approach is rooted in the development of leitmotifs and thematic transformation, creating strong musical identities that evolve alongside narrative and character arcs. I work with both orchestral writing and hybrid compositions, combining acoustic instruments with electronic elements to achieve a contemporary cinematic sound. I am particularly interested in projects that value storytelling through music, where the score plays an active role in shaping emotion, atmosphere, and narrative depth.
