When others closed the doors of Hollywood to me, Stage 32 believed in me and gave me opportunities to pitch my work and hone my pitches in the writers' room. They supported me and cared and from that support I continued writing and trying one more day then one more day and on. Now, I have a Mentor and Manager in England, Mollie Leivars. We announced it today and I am excited after 25 years of sweat, blood, and, yes, tears, I have my first produced writers' credit and representation. Stage 32 may not have been directly responsible for these two things but they played a big role in giving the motivation, support, and training to continue onward in dark places. I am 51 years old and a sufferer of Schizoaffective Disorder, a disabled veteran. Now, I have further to go but wanted to reach a down from my first rung and give hope to those dreaming and struggling. Never give up. Take a knee if you have to but never surrender. Learning is lifelong and I will be happy to continue educating myself via the excellent programs here at Stage 32.
