DDondré (dawn-dray) is a dramedy writer raised by conservative Jamaicans in a vibrant New Jersey gayborhood. His upbringing was a unique blend of Baptist faith, creative expression (modern dance, musical theater), and exposure to diverse communities, igniting his interest in telling stories that amplify marginalized voices. A graduate of Emerson College's screenwriting program, Dondré honed his skills as a writers' room assistant for industry giants like Marvel, ABC, BET+, and Facebook Watch. He balances a day job in sustainability with developing original pilots, one of which recently achieved Semi-finalist status in both Stage 32's Diversity Springboard and Script Pipeline's TV Writing competitions.
