Simon Saunders

Born in London, England. I spent most of my early years playing class clown. I started out my working life as an apprentice lithographic printer and plate maker. Stints in the police force and as a salesman broadened my hitherto sheltered and naive understanding of human nature but stifled my natural instinct to reach for the stars.

I achieved a modicum of success in starting and running my own business firstly as a printer before transitioning to the dark side and morphing my company into a graphic design studio specialising in printed media. When I wasn’t running the company I would spend time renovating old houses, playing drums in bands and acting in various local amateur productions including plays, pantomimes and comedy sketch’s, some of which I wrote myself.

This year I took early retirement and moved to Italy. Yeah right... I have decided that I can’t stop working so in conjunction with a new renovation project and running around after a 2 year old. I wanted to concentrate on working on a screenplay I wrote a while back and develop a new one I have in the back of my mind to see where that takes me.

I’ve travelled extensively and have always had an interest in diversity in people and cultures. Whether it’s because of that or my days as class clown I’m not sure, but I have developed a talent for mimicking accents.
