A Devil-worshipping family moves to a strict rural town seeking converts. Rejected despite efforts to fit in, the McSatans get a second chance when thugs threaten the town—and only their occult skills can save the day.
SYNOPSIS:
Luke McSatan, an ambitious Satanist and DMV clerk, relocates his bizarre family from Los Angeles to the conservative town of Forbenork, Oregon after being run out by an angry mob. With his sights set on becoming a High Priest in the Demonic Church, Luke must convert a local and perform a blood sacrifice—his own son Bub—by the boy’s 12th birthday. But small-town life proves difficult for the outrageous McSatans: Luke’s wife Salem talks to invisible “Girls,” his daughter Gotha casts curses, and his son Damien gets kicked out of a death metal band for not being “Satan-y” enough.
When two incestuous misfits, Butch and Winnifred, summon an actual demon (who arrives disguised as a creepy little girl), the town descends into chaos. Fires rage, souls are threatened, and the McSatans—blamed for it all—face a lynch mob. But Luke discovers the demon is his absentee father, and with help from his family (and a surprise conversion), he finds the strength to banish him.
In a world of unholy rituals, tapeworms, and flaming nuns, The McSatans is a pitch-black satire about faith, family, and fitting in. Beneath the blasphemy, it’s a heartwarming tale about loyalty, identity, and loving your weird-ass relatives.
