About Ashraf
Ashraf Nahlous is a Dubai-based writer and director known for bold, dialogue-driven storytelling. He made his directorial debut with Are You The Rat?, a neo-noir gangster short exploring power, loyalty, and deception.
He followed with This Is Love Too, a dark romantic drama selected for Paramount’s “We Create Drama” Season 4, and the cinematic commercial Polline Ad. He also created Cinema Reels, a collection of stylized short scenes capturing urban relationships and identity.
Ashraf draws inspiration from Tarantino, Scorsese, and Guy Ritchie, crafting character-led stories with psychological tension and sharp humor. He’s currently developing his feature debut Yet… Another Gangster Movie and serves as Creative Lead on the award-winning VR project Ocean Quest VR.
