Andrew Thomas, a 17 year old black male trapped in a literal storm while going through a figurative one as a result of racism, has been pulled over by the police. At that moment he is replaying the news clips of the countless times this scenario has gone wrong for so many others that look like him. Feeling caught in the eye of the storm, his mind is racing, and he has one question for you, "When you see those red and blue lights, do you feel protected? Does your heart start to speed up, do your palms begin to sweat, and is your mind overtaken with fear? Well mine is." "How can every storm have an end yet the racial storm is still raging. Even though I'm a straight A student, class president, future engineer and don't have as much as a parking ticket on record, I know that status doesn't matter because black men in my situation are 2 and a half times more likely not to make it home alive... Question is, will I?
