I have surely misunderstood your intent, yet your question inspires thought. Writers learn from their protagonists that "rock bottom" is the perfect springboard for launching ourselves upward. Defeat inspires success. Heroes scoff at lasting defeat. While writers guide protagonists through their darkest times, we mentally condition ourselves to weather our own storms.
I think the key to warding off the negative energy is happiness, simply doing or enduring anything that makes you happy, can take the negativity. And it could be anything! Watching a sunset could anything happy!
Hey Jerry, this is Suzanne from the Stage 32 team. I just wanted to let you know I moved your post from Introduce Yourself to Anything Goes, as it fits much better there. Let me know if you have any questions, and all the best to you!
