Hello,
I am a screenwriter/actor/musician from Cleveland, Ohio. I'm currently exploring production for a feature, polishing a short screenplay, and beginning work on a suspense/thriller feature. On the acting front, I just finished a supporting role in a slasher, I have a small role in a historical picture next week, I will play a detective in a slasher in August, and one of the few adult roles in a paranormal teen adventure shooting this Fall. On the music front, I am working on a song for a soundtrack to a short film.
Let's collaborate!
What's brewing on your end?

Hey, Douglas Esper. Congratulations on finishing the supporting role & everything you're working on and got lined up! I just finished the first draft of a feature I'm ghostwriting. I'm also rewriting two feature scripts, outlining a feature, and outlining a short script.

Douglas Esper, howdy. Congratulations on your successes. May they continue and grow. As for your song for a soundtrack, I would be interested to hear about the film and the song. After all, I am a songwriter with more than 200 songs under my belt and a few hidden beneath the bed.
Yeah, gotta stay busy, Douglas Esper. My main focuses for my rewrites on the features are the A Story right now. I rewrite in categories. A Story, B Story, Subplot(s), Character Arc(s), Dialogue, etc.

Wyman Brent, so far I’ve had a few songs featured in indie flicks, mostly via people I’ve met or worked with in the past. I don’t actively send music out to pitch, though maybe I’ll give that a go sometime.
How do you go about getting your music out to productions?

Douglas Esper, congratulations. I am very new to the game. I only started in April thanks to a happy accident. I have written more than 200 songs since then. I am reaching out directly to known film directors. One has replied he is very likely to use some of my music in an upcoming film this year. Another is currently reviewing my music for possible use. Best of all, an Academy Award nominated songwriter just yesterday praised my music. Onward and upward. How do you get your music out?

Wyman Brent happy accidents are the best ;) my friend and drummer of the two main projects I’m in moved, so music has been on the back burner. I was the percussionist for Chuck Mosley (faith no more, bad brains) until his death, so that music is sort of frozen/messed up with publishing issues. For my bands, we typically release stuff digitally in small batches and every so often do short CD runs.
Fingers crossed that those directors say yes!

Douglas Esper, I certainly know of Chuck Mosley. Gone far too soon. Is there a place where I can hear your music? Thanks for the good wishes about the directors.

Wyman Brent agreed on Chuck. He was a good and talented dude. I wrote a book about my time with him after he passed (originally, I was supposed to ghostwrite his autobiography as he continued his comeback.) as far as music, some direct links https://thefirmary.bandcamp.com (hard rock stuff with an 80s/90s feel), https://indoria.bandcamp.com (indie/pop/folk/rock stuff. Chuck sings on some of the songs, my wife sings on some too), https://blodtheband.bandcamp.com (weird heavy rock/metal that can be heard during the movie Dwellers and the anthology horror film, brimstone inc.) There's a lot of videos of chuck and I playing, we did a stripped down semi-acoustic thing. Best place for that stuff is youtube. Where can I hear your stuff?
Douglas Esper, I will definitely be checking out those links. I do write all of my own tunes. None are A.I. generated. However, I am no musician. The voices and sound are A.I. generated. I want to be upfront about that. Here is a link to a few of my tunes. I write across almost every musical genre. Not all of that is clear in this limited selection.
