As I’ve mentioned before, I’m originally from the planet Zog and have been living in Hong Kong since my spaceship crashed on Earth in 2006. I then went incognito as a science-fiction writer. Last month, my mechanic repaired my spaceship, but I only made it as far as Mars before I had to return to Earth due to a problem with the dilithium crystals (the new crystals from Zog are in transit).
I just finished a 41K-word story draft about a Martian living in Hong Kong, which I plan to publish in the fall before attempting another return to Zog.
While I've been on Earth, I've self-published five books and one collection of short stories, Cosmic Portal, on Amazon. One story, “Killing Hitler,” was accepted by the Hong Kong Writers Circle for publication in the Q4 (Dec 2023) issue of their magazine, The Apostrophe.

And I contributed two short stories, "My Life Sucks" and "We, Robots,” to the 2024 SciFi Anthology: The Science Fiction Novelists, published by the Science Fiction Novelists Facebook Group. I also contributed a story, “The Letter,” for their 2025 Anthology, which was published in March.

Hi, Michael A. Clement. Great to see you at Introduce Yourself Weekend again. Congratulations on finishing the story draft! What's your plans for the summer? And what's summer like on Zog?

Maurice Vaughan You'll need to read my book "Zogtopia" to find out what Zog is like. It's a crazy place. We've just returned from Japan, so we'll likely take it easy for the summer. What did you think of my book "Cosmic Portal"?
I'll check out Zogtopia, Michael A. Clement. I still need to read Cosmic Portal. I'm really behind on my read list.
