Hello, Everyone. My name is Bill Brock and I’ve been a Stage 32 member since October 2022. I’ve attended three film festivals in the last six months in support of my nominated feature screenplay, HORROR-FEST: South Carolina Underground Film Festival (Columbia, SC), Days of the Dead International Film Festival (Atlanta, GA), and most recently, Pasadena International Film Festival (Pasadena, CA), which wrapped up last week. Met a producer in Pasadena who took an immediate interest in my little horror tale. We enjoyed a great “Get to Know You” conversation on the phone today, resulting in me sending her the script. Producer: “I can’t wait to read it!!”
Ah! Music to my ears. : )

Awesome Bill. Nice to meet you. It's cool and fun that you're busy on the festival circuit. What is horror fest about?

Suzanne Bronson Thanks, Suzanne. Here’s the logline: An unhinged, horror star seeks revenge against targeted enemies, setting off a killing spree that rivals his most iconic film. But will his on-set "Final Girl" discover the truth in time to stop the bloodshed?

Maurice Vaughan Thanks, Maurice! When it comes to pushing scripts, I liken it to Stallone’s famous quote: “Keep Punching!” This has been quite the adventure. Attending Fests that nominate my scripts, take in the town, watch some stellar films, and network with some fine folks. Example: While in Pasadena, I took the Warner Brothers Studio Tour (located 1 MILE from my hotel), visited famous movie sites (All three located in Pasadena)— The Pee-Wee Herman house from “PEE-WEE’S BIG ADVENTURE (1985), Laurie Strode’s house and Michael Myers’s house from “HALLOWEEN” (1978). My favorite stop, though, was one town over, in Glendale, where I discovered the house used in one of my favorite films, “A SINGLE MAN” (2009). Also made a quick stop in Los Angeles to see The world-famous Griffith Observatory, where “REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE” (1955) was shot.

You're welcome, Bill Brock. Keep Punching! Exactly. Stay away from Michael Myers' house on Halloween.

Thanks so much for reintroducing yourself, Bill Brock! It’s fantastic to hear about the momentum HORROR-FEST is gaining. Huge congrats on the festival run and that promising conversation in Pasadena. That’s such an exciting step forward!
Have you signed up yet for RB’s free Ask Me Anything webcast happening next week? It might be the perfect boost of inspiration as you continue moving this project forward.

Ashley Renee Smith Thanks for the support, Ashley! It was just so much fun and relaxing…traveling solo to take my little trips around Pasadena. I actually enjoy my own company and it was a pleasure not having to look at my watch, or having somebody nag at me that we had to go.
And yes, I’m registered for the RB gig. Will it be presented in 3-D? and if so, how do I get my special RB-3D glasses? OMG. RB-3D sounds like one of those Star Wars robots.

Nick Phillips Thanks, Nick. I’m not on here as much as I used to be, but I stick my head in from time to time to see what’s going on. I’ve only got two goals here at “The 32”:
1.) Selling a script.
2.) Squeezing some really cool “Dimension” stories outta you.
Be well, pal.

If Brock were to meet The Beatles.
(Sang to the melody of “Nowhere Man.”)
He’s a real film fest fan,
living in his 32 land,
selling all his screenplay plans,
to nobody.

Geoff Hall Thanks, Geoff! Agreed! I don't know what to call the JLC thing either. A ledge? A pedestal. Oh, well. Either way, it was still a blast!

Karen "Kay" Ross Thanks, Kay! My carpet technique is pretty effortless. As a former actor, I simply channel the spirit of Pierce Brosnan. Take a look. It's there.

Elmare Hendricks Thank you, Elmare. Not expecting much. We're talking Hollywood, here. Land of Broken Promises. Meh. Maybe something will stir and move things forward. As a former actor, I still cling to the same belief system: After the audition, forget about it. There will be OTHER auditions! : )
Hey Bill,
I'm developing a powerful emotional drama called "Adrian & Eunseo"—about a kind Australian man and a mute Korean woman with a tragic past. They fall in love, but he's suddenly gone... and she travels across the world to find him—only to discover a heartbreaking truth.
It's a story about silence, grief, and the one moment that changes everything.
Would love to share more if you're interested.
