Golan Ramraz

Golan Ramraz founded Boom Picture Company four years ago, and since then has written and/or produced nine feature films, one of which was sold into distribution at the Cannes Film Festival, another that premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival, winning the prestigious jury award, and one that was recently invited to premiere at the world-renown Hollywood Film Festival.

As a writer, Golan is working on projects with such producers as Avi Lerner (THE EXPENDABLES), Mark Canton (300), Bob Yari (CRASH), J. Todd Harris (THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT), Debra Spidell (Comedy Central’s “Workaholics”), John Cheng (HORRIBLE BOSSES) and Stan Lee (THE AVENGERS), amongst others, and recently adapted work by Oscar nominee David Mamet (THE UNTOUCHABLES), Pulitzer Prize winner Lanford Wilson (TALLY’S FOLLY), acclaimed novelist Chuck Palahniuk (FIGHT CLUB) and bestselling author John Grisham (THE PELICAN BRIEF). He began his career as a writer at Revolution Studios under the tutelage of Joe Roth (MALEFICENT) and Greg Silverman (former President of Production at Warner Bros.).

As a producer, Golan is currently prepping EINSTEIN, co-written by Oscar winner Ronald Bass (RAIN MAN), SILENT KNIGHTS with Oscar winner Marlee Matlin (CHILDREN OF A LESSER GOD) and COPPER WIRE with acclaimed director Eduardo Rodriguez (THE MESSENGERS).

Prior to launching Boom, Golan worked as a development and production executive for over a decade, with such companies as Marvel Studios (IRON MAN), Kadokawa Pictures USA (ONE MISSED CALL) and Doug Liman's Hypnotic Entertainment (MR. & MRS. SMITH), as well at agencies, including CAA.

Beyond his work in the creative field, Golan has been a professor and lecturer at institutions of higher learning worldwide, including USC and UCLA. He has also founded and run numerous film-related organizations, including a chapter of the illustrious IFP non-profit, a film school in Europe, The Phoenix Film Festival and The Phoenix Film Foundation. He has also been a manager with the prestigious Telluride Film Festival for over fifteen years.
