SYNOPSIS:
After discovering a centuries-old message in a bottle linked to a cursed ship, marine biologist MAEVE QUINN assembles a research crew to investigate the mysterious coordinates it reveals. Aboard the weathered research vessel The Archer, she’s joined by grizzled CAPTAIN ELIAS THORNE, sonar tech MIGUEL ALVAREZ, electrical systems whiz SPARKY WELLS, deckhand LIAM, and a handful of specialists with their own agendas. Their search leads them into violent waters off the Irish coast, where they dredge up the bottle’s origin — the Ouzel Galley, a ship lost in 1698 under horrific and unexplained circumstances. When MAEVE opens the bottle and reads the scroll inside, it triggers a pulse that scrambles sonar, warps navigation systems, and begins to erode the crew’s grip on reality. Unknown to MAEVE, THORNE recognizes the name Ouzel Galley from an ancient order sworn to protect a secret buried for over three centuries. That secret is CROM CRUACH — a god of the earth itself, sealed beneath an island long ago through rites the Church claimed would destroy him. The truth is far worse: Crom was never destroyed, only contained, and now he is waking. As tempers flare and paranoia spreads, the crew realizes the island is pulling them in — not by tide or wind, but by something older and impossible to fight. Technology fails, minds unravel, and Crom’s influence begins to seep into flesh, soil, and bone. To stop him, MAEVE must face a truth she doesn’t yet understand — she is the last living descendant of the Tuatha Dé Danann, an ancient bloodline tied to the only relic capable of ending Crom’s reign. But awakening that legacy may cost her crew, her sanity, and the world itself.
