I write movies, I direct movies,
I love movies. Movies are my passion.
My process of working can be described best as a brain and observing, like a chest of uncountable drawers.
Everything I hear, read, smell and see is put into one of these drawers, sometimes consciously, sometimes subconsciously. Most of the time, these drawers are filled up with feelings, neuroses, sympathy, characters, behavior from weird, naive, normal… you name it. If I work on new stories, these drawers open up before my mental eyes and the content in them almost shouts at me “take me, here I am!”
Perseverance is part of my DNA,
I find my stories in newspaper articles, my inspiration in real life.
As a person I’m very empathetic and sensitive. My antennas register every change of feeling in other people. I’m not always sure if that’s a curse or a talent or even a necessity, because as a director and screenwriter I profit immensely from that and come to life with it.
I have finished an education as a producer and studied film science, journalism and communication science at FU Berlin. I learned my craft at national and international cinema projects. Here I closely worked together with Bryan Singer, Tom Cruise, Fatih Akin and many more
