Synopsis
When terrifying dark clouds blanket the sky and ground all air travel, leaders and scientists are baffled. Jill Lawrence has a lead - classified information from a pilot who has proof of a massive island in the sky.
Needing help to break the story, Jill turns to Steve Randall, the Speaker of the House. Years ago, she rejected his marriage proposal, refusing a church wedding or anything to do with God after witnessing the assassination of her father, a US Senator. Sparks still fly when Steve meets Jill at a restaurant. Steve shares that the President assumes this is a hostile force so he put the military on high alert.
Jill’s phone inexplicably pings with repeated messages stating, 'I do not like the world as it is'. Then, all international television and internet services are interrupted by a message proclaiming “Mother” is the actual Creator of Earth and the afterlife. Mother wants us to Love Everybody and will no longer tolerate the violence on this planet. We have 24 hours to fully embrace peace or face global elimination.
Jill returns a text message asking what they want from her. The reply repeats Jill’s father's dying words – change the world. Jill overcomes her own disbelief, while trying to stop a trigger-happy government. She attends the President’s press conference and challenges him to give peace a chance. Later, Jill receives a final text with nautical coordinates off the Atlantic shore, so off they go.
At sea, Jill rescues the man who murdered her father and makes the life-changing choice to forgive him, embodying the peace Mother demands. Jill is immediately transported to the angelic dimension for a globally televised interview with historical advocates of peace. They answer Jill’s questions about “Life”, our eternal home of everlasting love. The inspirational panel invites people to change, as Jill has, and join them in peace, but cautions that killers will not be rewarded. Jill cracks with emotions when her parents appear and share that they have been proudly watching over her.
When the President orders an air strike on the cloud, the panel fades away. Jill pleads for peace on TV while Steve struggles to convince the President to call off the attack. A doomsday countdown drops from seven hours to seven minutes. Jill and Steve give heartfelt professions of love as they bid farewell to each other. Jill’s efforts, Mother overrides the attack, but eliminates war advocates including the President and VP, propelling Steve as next in line to the presidency. Mother entrusts Jill and Steve with leading humanity into an era of peace, saving us all from extinction.
At the White House, the Chief Justice marries Jill and the new president. Jill saves the world and, in doing so, finds the love and faith she’d been missing—while delivering history’s greatest news story.
