About Robin

ROBIN GREGORY IS CLEARING THE WAY FOR CINEMATIC SCREENPLAYS OF LIMITLESS IMAGINATION AND SPECTACULAR RECKONINGS...

Robin was awarded honors at UC Santa Cruz, in World Literature and Creative Writing. She attended Stanford University’s Writer’s Workshop. She has written for Modern Literature.org, Film International, and Ginosko Literary Journal. She also raised a son with special needs and published a first novel, THE IMPROBABLE WONDERS OF MOOJIE LITTLEMAN.This YA fantasy is about a disabled boy with supernatural powers. It won twenty-four awards, including Kirkus Reviews, Indiefab, IPPY Best Books of the Year. Also, it was translated into Chinese and Turkish. A second and third novel are in the works.

Currently, Robin is converting the first novel’s base metals into gold by adapting the story to a live feature entitled HALFKIN. The alchemy of this process has been guided by distinguished mentors: John Crye, actor, writer, producer, director; Peter Briggs, screenwriter, novelist; Jonathon E. Stewart, screenwriter; and James Caffrey, executive director.

Not bad for a kid who had trouble learning to read. Raised in a Catholic hothouse with seven siblings, a dog, a lamb, various cats, and a turtle, she made up for bad grades by drawing picture books, excelling at jungle gym, and smoking Marlboro cigarettes.

What are Robin’s favorite things? Potty-mouthed saints, kids under the dinner table, Taika Waititi films, and corn chips. Presently, she lives in California with her favorite comedians, hubby and son.

Favorite Quote: “At the back of our brains, so to speak, there was a forgotten blaze or burst of astonishment at our own existence. The object of the artistic and spiritual life was to dig for this submerged sunrise of wonder.”
