Tammy Jackson

Tammy M. Jackson is a creative from St. Louis MO, born in a small hometown called Kinloch. As fate would have it, this hometown is also shared by the current Congress Woman, Maxine Waters and the renowned “Mother of Hollywood,” Jenifer Lewis. The journey started for Tammy when she put her pen to the paper by writing and directing her debut stage play at her church titled, ‘A Silent Cry.’ Shortly after, she decided to release a sequel following the success of the first stage play, and titled it, ‘Silent Cry, The Homecoming.’
As more of her stage play proved successful and recorded massive reception from viewers, she decided to continue doing what she loved the most. To this effect, she wrote a third stage play titled, ‘The Pieces of Me’ which is available on YouTube and currently holds over eight thousand views and counting. These streak of wins and successes encouraged and motivated Tammy to be more confident about how she told the world meaningful and impactful stories, and to this effect, she decided to hone and sharpen her skills at becoming an outstanding writer and a great director.
In 2017, Tammy joined 35 Multi Media Productions, an independent film team in the St. Louis area. During her work there, she took on several independent projects and ensured she delivered a classic finish to each of them. Worthy of mention is the fact that Tammy was an active member of the Writers Group, where she had the privilege to co-write the script for a drama series titled ‘BARS.’ After gaining more experience and a holistic understanding of production, she also co-wrote and directed her first independent comedy titled, ‘The Lick’ in 2018.
Working on several projects in the film industry further revealed the connection Tammy had with creating beautiful content, and she quickly understood her place. From 2017 up until this present day, Tammy has continued to network herself around the St. Louis area volunteering on film sets in a bid to attain the rid amount of exposure and be well-versed with processes and procedures in the industry.
Tammy has worked on film sets as a Personal Assistant, Boom Operator, Slate Operator, and Stagehand at large concert venues. Tammy currently volunteers at STL TV Communications and broadcasting, where she is gaining more skills and knowledge in editing, camera operator, floor director, and wherever she is needed. Tammy joined the St. Louis Writer’s Initiative group in 2019 to continue nurturing and developing her writing skills.
