About Anthea

I am currently a fundraiser for a nonprofit organization, the Ministry of Caring Inc., in Wilmington, Delaware, and established a professional writing career primarily as a creative writer and news reporter for a Catholic Christian weekly newspaper. As an alumnus of the University of Delaware, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Minor in Theatre, I concentrated in Film Theory, and wrote two screenplays and graduated both magna cum laude and with a Degree of Distinction. I also studied Advanced Screenwriting at the University of Pennsylvania, and, in 1999, participated in the inaugural Act One: Writing for Hollywood program in Los Angeles. “Key Witness” a short story was published in two literary magazines. I was a two-time finalist in America's Best contest sponsored by the Writer's Foundation in the short story category. My studies in acting resumed at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, the oldest conservatory in the United States. Three one-act plays I wrote were performed in readers' theatre productions, and one fully produced. I am marketing seven screenplays, one currently under option and another formerly optioned. On a personal note, I have an identical twin, study ballet, teach religious education, and record news stories for the blind. As a producer, I am working on a documentary about a blind couple raising their own sighted twins.
