Hello everyone! I'm a native New Yorker residing in Brooklyn. I love to collaborate with awesome people on incredible projects. I'm very excited to make some connections on Stage 32 since I've heard so many positive things about this community and I've watched a bunch of informative videos that I've learned a lot from.
I believe in good vibes, enthusiastic high fives and doing my best to bring out high levels of awesome in others. I think diplomacy is a great way to deal with most stressful situations.
I’m really looking forward to meeting other filmmakers and to network in a positive way. I believe a rising tide lifts all boats.
Unique traits: Guessing wrong what people do for a living but enjoy trying. Calling myself a thumb wrestler champ when I'm really bad at it. I can catch food with my mouth as if I was in the circus.
Call Now Your Fantasy Awaits
Film (short)
by Kpictures
Producer, writer, director, editor, actor Call Now Your Fantasy Awaits, inspired by the ultra-cheesy hotline commercials from the 80s and 90s. Wells explores the odd allure and absurdity of these commercials, channeling the humor and ambiguity that are hallmarks of his filmmaking style.
“I always thought those commercials were a bit tacky, even laughable, and yet oddly enticing,” says Wells. “The phone operators must have been like sexy dungeon masters, creating fantasies on the fly to keep callers engaged. I’ve taken that retro concept and added my own weird and ambiguous twist.”
Wells, celebrated for blending absurdity with meaningful social critiques in films like Don’t Litter in Prospect Park and Are You Happy with Pickles the Clown, invites viewers to consider whether his latest work carries a deeper commentary or is simply an exercise in offbeat entertainment. Shot entirely on the iPhone 15 Pro, the film demonstrates Wells' ability to create professional and thought-provoking content with minimal resources. This film features three very talented actresses: Cris Cordero, Hillary Sproul, and Sophia Campbell.
Wells’ work often toes the line between bizarre humor and critical reflection, inviting viewers to see the world through a new lens.
Hey It's Just Jim
Film (short)
by Kpictures/Christopher Wells
Producer, DP, Editor, Writer, Actor Filmmaker Christopher Wells, known for his twisted sense of humor, is back with his latest project, Hey It's Just Jim—a short film tailor-made for fans of offbeat comedy with a touch of creepiness, perfect for enhancing any 420 vibe. Shot entirely on an iPhone 15 against the vibrant fall colors of Prospect Park, this short film captures the season’s dramatic lighting and atmosphere. Initially in the midst of casting for another project, Wells decided to create this film on the fly when an actress dropped out at the last minute. Not wanting to miss the stunning autumn backdrop, he quickly penned Hey It’s Just Jim as a one-man endeavor, taking on the role of both cast and crew to bring his unique vision to life.
Christopher challenges himself once again with a story that’s both hilarious and unnerving, introducing you to Jim—a guy who wears a paper bag over his head, loves to hide, and, yeah, likes to watch you. If that sounds strange, well, it’s meant to be.
So, grab your biggest bong, light up, and get ready for a bizarre journey that’s guaranteed to leave you both laughing and questioning your reality.
This is a weird shot film shot entirely on the iPhone 15 pro in Prospect Park.
Are You Happy with Pickles the Clown
Film (short)
by Kpictures/Christopher Wells
Writer, producer, director, editor, actor Are You Happy with Pickles the Clown is a provocative mock manifesto exploring frustration with political hypocrisy and systemic corruption. Through unsettling footage of broken promises by both Republicans and Democrats, a man grows increasingly agitated, exposing how regular people are betrayed while politicians and corporations profit from our tax dollars. As he mockingly asks himself, “Are you happy?” the question shifts from being directed at his alter ego to challenging the audience. The tension builds as he confronts the uncomfortable reality: are we all clowns allowing our government to exploit us? Pickles the Clown isn’t happy with how big banks control our healthcare, how we continue to bail out Wall Street, and how corporations grow richer at the expense of everyday people. Why do we wage unnecessary wars while failing to learn from history? What will it take for us to demand change?
Stories for my Children's Children: Lessons from The Holocaust
Documentary
Producer, Director Logline: This isn’t a Holocaust documentary; it’s a personal tale about two people, the horrors that befell them and how their survival can influence the next generation.
Her parents were Holocaust survivors. Her mother, a young woman at the time, and her family of five hid in a barn for two years as the Nazis took over Poland. During the winter months to stay warm they stood next to the farm animals and during the day they had to keep quiet in a hayloft so as not to be discovered. Nobody knew about their situation. Only the family who owned the farm were willing to take the risk of hiding a Jewish family from the Nazis. Discovery would surely get them all killed. Her father was not so lucky. He had a family but sadly, like many others, his first wife and children were shot and killed while he would be sent to a concentration camp to be worked to death. These are the stories told by their daughter Sarah Rolnick about her parents' experience with the Holocaust.
We have to remember that evil people did horrible things but we can never forget how strong we are. This documentary talks about heartbreaking moments in history but leaves the audience full of hope and inspired.
Directed and produced by Christopher Wells.

And just when things couldn’t get any weirder, the madman inexplicably starts vacuuming. What’s going on here? Prepare for absurdity, dark humor, and a little room for interpretation. Join the maddens.
