SYNOPSIS:

Ally Bailey, 17, is a fiercely talented singer-songwriter and the leader of FILTER-FREE her all-girl band. She's determined to rise above her self-involved, one-hit-wonder father, Zach. At school Ally and her band are outcasts because they're not obsessed with fitting-in. They are:

Belle, 17, plays cello. She's refined, intellectual, and a closed book.

Kira, 17, plays keyboard. She's an old-soul Earth-Mother who feels everything very deeply.

Sid, 16, the band’s confidently gay little sister, is a powerful drummer with serious stage-fright.

Zach Bailey, 42, Ally’s unreliable dad. He’s a charming one-hit-wonder musician whose comeback obsession has left his marriage & relationship with Ally in ruins.

Pilot Episode - Ally Bailey is a fierce teenage singer songwriter determined to prove herself by rising above her self-involved, one-hit-wonder father, Zach, whose comeback obsession ended his marriage and strained his relationship with Ally. When Ally leads her band to ditch school & crash a major audition in a very sketchy part of the city, Zach finds her in time to discover Ally and her band have the authentic talent to go further than he ever could. Deep down, Ally loves her Dad, but there's no way she's going to let him try to help. She and Filter-Free will find success on their own.

Watch-Out World is set primarily in the Firehouse Coffee Cafe', (owned & run by Ally's Mom, Gwen, with Ally's help) which has a small music stage where Ally and Filter-Free will develop new music derived from each new episode's storyline. As Filter-Free continue to take risks, break the rules to find their audience.

Why Me - I learned a lot about the determination and commitment it takes to follow a musical dream during my 10 years by the side of an emerging pop-singer in Minneapolis as she fought for every opportunity to shine.

I've been lucky to study with Blake Snyder, Jen Grisanti, Jessica Bendinger, and now the wonderful Holiday RomCom Writer, Carley Smale.

Growing-up just outside of Philadelphia, I needed my wild imagination to create fun & mayhem. It got me into a lot of trouble though, like that time, when I was 10 and I stole my parents' car to take my little sister for ice-cream. (we made it as far as the neighbor’s front yard); or when I launched myself down a steep, busy street in the plywood go-cart I'd built with no brakes; or, after setting out on my own at 17, my two summers as an amateur stock car driver.

I became the Lead Graphic Designer for several wonderful feature films including two Academy Award Winners. I fell in love with storytelling, started screenwriting, won Top Ten and Cinestory and lunch with Christopher McQuarrie. Won 2nd Place and Top Five Best Screenplay at ScreamfestLA, and became an Amazon Studios Best Screenplay Competition Semi-Finalist. Was short-listed in both the NBC and ABC TV Writers Showcases. And so much more...
