A writer and actor originally from Chicago, I received my bachelor of arts in English and Political
Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. A disciple of Shakespeare and the
classics, I’ve worked in both television and the stage, at one point also carving out a career as a
Wagnerian Soprano. I’m a recipient of the William O. Cord Memorial Grant award by the
Wagner Society of Northern California, and have been lucky enough to explore a growing
passion for restorative justice with Chicago teens in and out of the juvenile justice system by
teaching and producing Shakespeare.
Currently my interests are tethered to self expression through screenwriting, essays and performance art.
