Gary Parr

I'm Gary Parr, a London-based screenwriter passionate about stories that unsettle, provoke, and linger. I write across genres, but I’m most drawn to horror, sci-fi, and dark comedy—genres that allow me to explore trauma, memory, and the uncanny through a visceral, human lens.

Over the past few years, I’ve built a growing portfolio of short film scripts, including:

Death Walks Into A Bar – a genre-bending short blending fantasy, drama, and horror.

Teeth and The Call – both optioned by 6MP Films and part of The Toxicity Anthology, with Teeth entering the festival circuit in 2025.

I write with the belief that genre storytelling can be both emotionally grounded and wildly imaginative—and that even the darkest material can (and should) connect us to something true.
