Elizabeth Arredondo’s career straddles screenwriting and artificial intelligence. In the world of AI, Elizabeth helps leading technology companies think about the personality, backstory, and voice of artificial entities. She worked with a group of MIT roboticists and engineers to create “Mabu,” a robot health assistant for chronically ill patients. As a Visiting Scholar at MediaX at Stanford University, Elizabeth ran a seminar on bringing the power of storytelling to artificial intelligence personality design. Her research focused on building trust with AI entities. She is an author of a paper on this subject recently published in the Routledge Guide to Computational Social Science.
In the world of screenwriting, Elizabeth holds an MFA from USC’s Writing for Screen and TV Program. After graduating from USC, she was selected as a Writer's Arc Fellow. She was a Staff Writer on MONSTRESS (HBO Max) and COLD CASE (CBS).
