The 70’s feature drag queen, Miss Sparkle, developing a new protégé. The 80’s show Derrick facing a possible AIDS diagnosis, while finding a lover. The 90’s give us lesbian activist Mona working to advance her personal and political agendas. Den mother Doris challenges the "requests" of a local religious figure in the 2000's. Current owner Rod re-opens while pinpointing his personal motivation to do so.
