Growing up in Hollywood, Shirley’s exposure to classic films, experimental theater, and contemporary art sparked a fascination with storytelling that would soon become a driving force in her creative evolution. Music was the first language through which she learned to express and articulate her emotions and experiences. Trained classically in piano, she gravitated to guitar, voice, and performance. Her music fused folk sensibility with jazz improvisation. Shirley’s foray into fashion design began with the creation of custom stage costumes crafted in collaboration with local artisans. She has worked for many years as a fashion stylist. She holds a BA in English Literature from UC Berkeley and a BS in Marketing from Sonoma State. She has certifications from Sotheby’s in Gallery Management. Today, her focus is on her writing and script consulting. She is passionate about ensuring scripts align with industry standards through meticulous analysis and feedback.
