Rahman Yasari

Rahman Yasari is a Berlin-based filmmaker and visual artist, born from an artistic family in Baghdad. He studied film directing at the Fine Arts Institute and the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad. In 2014, Rahman further refined his skills at the Iraqi Independent Film Center in Baghdad, participating in multiple workshops focused on directing, writing, and cinematography.
With a career that includes work on several award-winning feature and short films, that was screened at a multiple leading international film festivals such as La Biennale Di Venezia, Berlinale, TIFF, Tribeca, Busan and the Canadian Film Awards.
Rahman's dedication to his craft is evident in the ability of capturing the human experience through a lens that bridges cultural divides. His commitment to filmmaking is driven by a passion for storytelling and a desire to share the experience and the cultural heritage of the Middle East with a broader audience. As he continues to develop his career in Berlin, making a voice in contemporary cinema.
