Malachi Marlan is a Creative Executive at Alta Global Media where he plays a pivotal role in supporting a dynamic slate of films and international talent. Reporting directly to Alta Global Media's Founding Partner, Marlan is actively engaged in screening development prospects, pitching, and packaging films. Recent company highlights include the 3 picture deal with Netflix brokered for South African director Mandla Dube, the success of his first picture Heart of the Hunter which debuted at #1 globally on the Netflix platform and the 6 picture slate finance deal with South Africa's IDC to provide 49% finance.

In 2024, Marlan was commissioned to pen a feature film based on a true, wartime story. His last short film, a psychological thriller entitled Hello No One, premiered at Screamfest, screened at the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival, and won multiple awards. Malachi’s work is marked by cerebral, mind-bending plots, dark themes, and characters with deep, primal drives.
