Do they really care about Nashville or Brisbane or that I manage payroll for film and television? Stuart pops open a fresh beer. Some snooty, fruit-infused microbrew. STUART Maybe that I love writing comedy and fantasy and can even write dark ass drama? He takes a sip of his beer. He scrunches his nose - it tastes off. He takes another sip. STUART That I'm a semifinalist on Coverfly with a sitcom called Hell House co-written with Nicole Blandford? A quarterfinalist with an edgy drama called Murder Creek with Cecil Davis in Scriptation Showcase? Stuart tilts back in his office chair. STUART Might as plug my mythology novel while I'm here. It's called Deities. It combines multiple mythologies into a comedic mess. Neil Gaiman would be proud. I think. He looks over at his beer. STUART Maybe it's time for something stronger.
