    JumpMan (2017)
Film (short) by Ron Brodie Music Composer Curtis is at a crossroads in his life. His dreams to become a legend could be derailed by the easy way out. Heavily Influenced by what he sees on television, he believes greatness is at his fingertips; but it’s only if he is willing to get past the hazards that stand in his way. Narrated by his future self, Curtis reflects on some of the challenges he will have to face if he truly wants to make it. Jumpman is an analog fantasy and ode to basketball. The film is a stylistic exploration of naive ambition and dreams of grandeur inspired by a generation raised with Jordan. Growing up in early 90’s New York, it was easy to fall victim to circumstance. Idol worship and foolish ambition could be the saving grace to finding a way out. Directed by Ron Brodie with cinematography by John Schmidt, this experimental short film was partially shot on 35mm in Brooklyn and Queens.About Ron: Ron has previously directed Airwalk’s skate documentary We Out Here and completed post-production on the Tinie Tempah documentary Discovering Destiny. ronbrodie.com For further inquiries please contact Tessa tessa@projectfathom.comCast:Young Curtis - Daequan Morrison Old Curtis Voice - Kwabena Brenya Jessica - Tytiana Irizarry Dan - Sean J.
