Fueled by a sibling rivalry and mutual ambition, two immigrant brothers grapple with the adversities of the professional tennis circuit in search of themselves and their elusive first Grand Slam victory.
SYNOPSIS:
Andre and Bjorn Gaviria started their tennis journey being coached by their father Gabriel. After a junior tournament, a mentor befriends the family and invites the two brothers to extend their instruction, but after Andre gets expelled from his charter school, both brothers are sent to a Tennis Academy.
There they struggle to make a name for themselves, which they do, by reaching the top ten of the doubles tour. Soon, Andre surpasses his brother after beating a legend in the game, skyrocketing him to fame and fortune.
That all falls apart after Bjorn tragically dies from a heart condition in a doubles match with his brother.
This leaves Andre unchecked, destitute, and ultimately utterly alone, and ignites a set of events that kick him out of the tour. Now, only his past mentor can help him reach his top level of play again, and lead him to win the one thing he so desperately was lacking. His sense of self and a Grand Slam.
