On this week's snackable short, Shélah Larson embarked on something more personal to her experience in the film industry: Followers equal jobs.
On "Farewell" we challenged ourselves to take a character through an a complete emotional 180 in one short scene, on one long take, in one small space. We build a hospital scene on a budget of $150, rehearsed a few times, and shot 6 takes (we used take 5).
As children, we viewed the world through the lenses of our imaginations. The carpet became lava, the shadows formed monsters, the family minivan was a spaceship. But the older we got, the more reality set in, and soon we forgot the magic our minds could create.
